Now there’s a rigging service for the sailboats of Lake Lanier, Lake Hartwell and coastal GA. Sails Up Rigging is based in North GA. We provide the following services all done by an experienced rigger:
We can replace both the standing and running rigging. You also have a choice between long-lasting mechanical fittings or swage fittings.
We charge flat rates for verbal and written inspections. Our experts look for cracks, worn, and damaged parts that may jeopardize the integrity of the rigging system.
Can assist with tasks such as replacing lights and wind vanes. This is also helpful for removing stuck sails from in-mast furling or replacing headstays.
This includes splicing as apart of service or requested by a customer for new rope only. Our riggers can replace halyards with an eye splice or reeving eye.
We’ll provide color samples and take accurate measurements so your new sail or pack is a perfect fit onboard.
Does your boat need a rerig?
If your rigging is old, damaged, or non-functional, it’s likely time for a rerig. We can do full rigs including both the standard and running rigging. If only certain rigging is in need of replacing, we can help with that as well. After taking measurements and receiving the proper parts, the rigging is built in the shop and then installed onboard.
The Importance of Sail Inspections
For the safest sailing possible, you should have your rigging looked at by a professional every once in a while or when concerns arise. Old or damaged rigging can create serious hazards or make sailing impossible. Written sail inspections are often requested for insurance purposes.
Maintain Quality
Keep sailing in optimal condition by having rigging replaced as needed. We’re here to take care of the little things or do upgrades for improved rigging.
Update Old Rigging
Old rigging can be unreliable or even a safety hazard. Call us when it’s time for a replacement of all or part of your old rigging. We’ll let you know if it’s still in good condition.
Ensure Safe Sailing
Rig inspections are a way for us to evaluate the condition of your rigging and any work that needs to be done. Getting a rig inspection every few years or when damage is suspected, is important for safe sailing.
