Expert Rigging Services
We provide many services for sailboat rigging which you can find listed below with more information. Call us if you need something done and aren’t sure if it fits into one of our service categories. We can also help with measuring and ordering parts or test sails. All of it is done by an experienced sailboat rigger.
Rerigs start with an inspection of the rigging to see what needs done and how much it will cost. The quote is dependent upon the materials needed and about how many hours of labor it will take. We can replace both the standing and running rigging. You also have a choice between long-lasting mechanical fittings or swage fittings.
We have equipment for climbing masts and can assist with tasks such as replacing lights and wind vanes. This is also helpful for removing stuck sails from in-mast furling and allows us to replace headstays. If you need someone to go up the mast, you’re welcome to call and ask if it’s something we can do.
Lifelines are the lines running along the sides of your boat which act as a sort of safety net. We can duplicate your old lifelines and reinstall them on the boat. In the case that there are none as is, we can measure to create new ones.
Order through us for the best sails and packs sourced from Mack Sails. Made in the USA from start to finish using the highest quality materials available. We’ll provide color samples and take accurate measurements so your new sail or pack is a perfect fit onboard.
For safe and functional sailing, it is important to ensure that all rigging is in good condition. We charge flat rates for verbal and written inspections needed for insurance purposes. Our experts look for cracks, worn, and damaged parts that may jeopardize the integrity of the rigging system. And if you would like anything replaced, we’ll be able to give a quote.
Sails Up Rigging does all sorts of furler servicing. We can potentially repair broken furlers or determine if they’ll need replaced entirely. In this case, we can order the correct furler for you, build it, and install it on your boat. For boats without furlers, we can install a new one as well as replace the wire in existing ones. Our recommended brand is Profurl.
We can replace any ropes and running rigging. This includes splicing when needed or requested by a customer for new rope only. Our riggers can replace halyards with an eye splice or reeving eye. New halyards or spliced ropes can be shipped anywhere in the country once finished and are available for installation if in the area.
